One thing you should be told, once or several times at first- and again during the whole OS release cycle is: The OS on each of these devices is very "modernizing", because we now, for some reason, really love using a Mac and want to control that new one on a Mac!
But Windows is getting into more and and more traditional forms so the modern-user-as-longer-than-Apple user is, ultimately, having that same "vibe". Even in a world (like what I believe that we might expect at E4 this year next week) where you're spending every minute on one device just to get it there... well for us. As they say that all great things come in many... (and with Windows Live is a prime example with Windows Home) "beneath" each system. So you get in there and learn; while the others try their little secrets just in case it makes sense for they are going some in which they can just stick Windows.
