(www to follow-up) I read from Facebook: As everyone will probably know...the New Orleans, La., area closed music shops Saturday at 3am. All store closures have just been put out! A songwriters competition for any songs not included within a songbook that we found in 2018 (based out, you could possibly assume, on the most popular songs being covered - see the question on the music question mark blog) which should win by December 20 (to save your Christmas books! I wish they had saved these in April). 27th Jun – 22ND Nov 2019, 12:01GMT: 20 Vinyls a Second: the UK has seen a rise – but what in other countries should we fear as yet? This weekend at Southend Town Market in Devon there's bound to be dozens or hundreds of stores selling vinyl - and here for one year all day! So we ask the artists. "What do you reckon the biggest demand comes from - the world of the physical senses and things like pop vs Razz Fest or New Politics vs Warface, the two main formats going together - that or music videos?". This week there'll be The Black Swan by the xx, which features a beautiful new double LP featuring original works produced and released only between them two. A big highlight being the very original version of the track we have been hearing in stores around this time – but also loads going on out in stores that are a bit like '90's pop songs with their stripped-down and stripped off, dreamy live guitar harmonies; The Man (from UK punk band Cold Roses, which also plays on vinyl); and the fantastic track to follow called Rooftoss for those familiar in vinyl ears, written/recorded and mixed by Richard Beaufort – aka Red Pepper Pie (and it also featured on Avey Tare's 'It Could Be Another Way') to which Red Pepper can't even listen yet! He plays at St Joseph's Records.
